Tina Fey

5 Hours 34 Minutes

Hachette Book Group USA

April 2011

Audio Book Summary

Before Liz Lemon, before "Weekend Update," before "Sarah Palin," Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV.

She has seen both these dreams come true.

At last, Tina Fey's story can be told. From her youthful days as a vicious nerd to her tour of duty on Saturday Night Live; from her passionately halfhearted pursuit of physical beauty to her life as a mother eating things off the floor; from her one-sided college romance to her nearly fatal honeymoon -- from the beginning of this paragraph to this final sentence.

Tina Fey reveals all, and proves what we've all suspected: you're no one until someone calls you bossy.

(Includes Special, Never-Before-Solicited Opinions on Breastfeeding, Princesses, Photoshop, the Electoral Process, and Italian Rum Cake!)

A highly enjoyable listen. Ready by anyone other then Tina it would not have been so good. My advice, don't listen to this in a place where you would be embarrassed to laugh out loud.

I LOVED this book! A friend recommended and Tina Fey, as always, doesn\'t disappoint! I found that if I wasn\'t listening to her narrate the book and was, instead, reading it, I wouldn\'t have been able to do it justice as she did. She emphasized where she meant to and whispered where she meant to and it all added up to a fun, enjoyable listening experience. Highly recommend and especially in audiobook format!

Very good. Listened to it while alternating with another, heavier book about serial killers. It was just what I needed to make me laugh out loud and pull me out of the dark place the other book had put me into. Also had some surprising nuggets of good advice and real wisdom artfully woven into this highly memorable, and very relatable piece. Tina Fey reading it made it even better. Highly recommend!

The book is wonderfully entertaining. It is one of those delicious books that is genuinely better read aloud. I would sincerely recommend this book, especially as an audiobook.

Hate her politics, love her writing. Additionally wonderful because she narrates her own words, the best form for an audiobook to take.

This was a very funny and interesting book. There are a lot of references to the PDF pictures in the book. There should be a link to those pictures.

Cute and funny, just like Tina Fey. I enjoyed this biography. It was revealing and informative; more than just about Ms. Fey. I kept talking about it to my daughter because I think she and Ms. Fey could be related somehow; They are that much alike. It inspired my to binge on 30 Rock, which I had not seen, so I watched all the episodes. Great show! And who does not like the genius of "Mean Girls"? C'mon!

Was waiting for more, but never came. Not very funny. I did finish.

This is a funny, well-written book on its own, and the audiobook format makes it even better. Not only is the book read by Tina Fey herself (ensuring that all the jokes have the right timing and inflection), but the publisher/Tina Fey makes full use of the format by adding-in sound bytes from SNL. Highly recommended!
