Audio Book Summary
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER
Elizabeth and Jackson Shore married young, raised two daughters, and weathered the storms of youth as they built a family. From a distance, their lives look picture perfect. But after the girls leave home, Jack and Elizabeth quietly drift apart. When Jack accepts a wonderful new job, Elizabeth puts her own needs aside to follow him across the country. Then tragedy turns Elizabeth’s world upside down. In the aftermath, she questions everything about her life—her choices, her marriage, even her long-forgotten dreams. In a daring move that shocks her husband, friends, and daughters, she lets go of the woman she has become—and reaches out for the woman she wants to be.

The narrative is soapy, cliché, the reading is monotonous, which makes me wish I had read it instead.

A bit of a 'chic book' but enjoyable.

Really enjoyed the entire book!

Not my favorite Kristin Hannah book but I probably would’ve enjoyed it more just reading it. Narrator was extremely breathy and read every line as if it was a pivotal moment, which I found very distracting. This book and my last were two-for-one deals. Both had bad narration. Guess you get what you pay for.

I really liked the story and the narrator. The story touched on so many things that people can relate to including myself. Please judge for yourself and don’t rely completely on the negative reviews.

This was a great read. Hannah is one of my favorite authors who never disappoints. Her characters transformed into new personalities in this book. I couldn’t put it down.

Very dissapointing! I have enjoy this authors previous books that I've listened to but this was a formularised Mills and Boon type story - really pathetic. The narrator was not great either. She often spoke flatly, with strange punctuation. I won't be following Kirsten Hanna again. What a waste of time and money!

So I loved the story line and some funny parts however the narrator read it like a news caster. That was annoying

Excellent narration, but a painful story to sit through. This book is about the pain that comes from years of being in a marriage and being desensitised to your true feelings and thinking that what you have must be right. Beware of this title if you're going through marriage problems.
