Now an AT&T Audience Original Series

The fabulously suspenseful and 'smashing' (The New York Times Book Review) final novel in the Bill Hodges trilogy from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Mr. Mercedes and Finders Keepers!

For nearly six years, in Room 217 of the Lakes Region Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic, Brady Hartsfield has been in a persistent vegetative state. A complete recovery seems unlikely for the insane perpetrator of the “Mercedes Massacre,” in which eight people were killed and many more maimed for life. But behind the vacant stare, Brady is very much awake and aware, having been pumped full of experimental drugs...scheming, biding his time as he trains himself to take full advantage of the deadly new powers that allow him to wreak unimaginable havoc without ever leaving his hospital room. Brady Hartsfield is about to embark on a new reign of terror against thousands of innocents, hell-bent on taking revenge against anyone who crossed his path—with retired police detective Bill Hodges at the very top of that long list....

Amazing ending to an awesome series! *Spoilers Upcoming - Warning* It's sad to see beloved characters get killed off or die however, it helps bring context to stroy telling. I actually read through these characters in specific Holly Gibbney backwards by reading Outsiders, If it Bleeds, and now the Bill Hodges series. As Bill was a stapled character mentioned throughout the books after he passed I see why Holly Gibney character embodied the persona of Bill. The development of Brady was masterful, as he became more sadistic the more he craved suicides. I look forward to see more from Herome and Holly in the future or just further development and linkage to Sycamore street as this series and Fairy Tale are set within.

The end of an era! RIP Bill Hodges! Another awesome read! I held it together until the very end and then cried (I knew I would!) I LOVE LOVE LOVE Holly Gibney! She’s my most favourite character (especially when Will Patton reads her!!) This book was a nice ending to the trilogy! I could have easily read another 5 novels with the Bill Hodges Squad (but it is what it is!!) ENJOY!!

I loved it, the story is fabulous, and the story telling is wonderful. I love King and Patton! I am so sad for it to be over though.

Good finale, I agree that the story did get predictable at times but overall I enjoyed this last book of the series and was sad that it ended. I will miss the characters too. Will Patton is an excellent narrator.

This book was a fitting closure to the series. The twist and turns the storybook could only have been perfected by someone of Stephen King‘s stature. I would recommend this series to anyone who likes Stephen King‘s writing. And now I am looking forward to the spinoffof Holly.

WOW!!! This book was extremely hard for me because of my dad and the year 2015. But, again I could not stop listening. I can't wait for the book Holly to come out.

I first met these characters when reading the short story, If It Bleeds. I remember being so annoyed by annoyed by the voice and cadence Will Patton gave the character, but ultimately grew to like her. Then I found out there were other books that came before. Now I know (and love) the Bill Hodges character Holly kept referring to, and most importantly, I came to love the way Will developed Holly's character and came to love Holly. Listening to If It Bleeds again with a different eye. Oh....I didn't mention Steven Kings writing, but do I need to? I've rarely read anything of his I didn't like. Well done.
