I have read all of Augusten Burroughs books and I have to say that this one left me wanting more. Not more story, but more introspection, more reflection into what the years and relationships have revealed to him about himself. Given all that he has been through and given his unique talent to convey events, I guess at this stage of his life and writing career I was looking for a bit more"wisdom" or "maturity" in the writing. He remains a very funny guy, but you just get the feeling that all those attempts at humor are masking a deeper, more complex person that I was hoping to meet in this book.
