Audio Book Summary

In this explosive account of wrongful acts and ongoing cover-ups, Jesse Ventura takes a systematic look at the wide gap between what the American government knows and what it reveals to the American people. For too long, we the people have sat by and let politicians and bureaucrats from both parties obfuscate and lie. And according to this former Navy SEAL, former pro wrestler, and former Minnesota governor, the media is complicit in these acts of deception. For too long, the mainstream press has refused to consider alternate possibilities and to ask the tough questions. Here, Ventura looks closely at the theories that have been presented over the years and separates the fact from the fiction.

In Ventura's eyes, the murder of Abraham Lincoln and the assassinations of the Kennedys and Martin Luther King all need to be reexamined. Was Watergate presented honestly, or was the CIA involved? Did the Republican Party set out to purposefully steal two elections on behalf of George W. Bush? Has all the evidence been presented about the 9/11 attacks, or is there another angle that the media is afraid to explore? And finally, is the collapse of today's financial order and the bailout plan by the Federal Reserve the widest-reaching conspiracy ever perpetrated?

Only buy this book if you are looking for a good laugh. Jesse Ventura is very misleading. He jumps from topic to topic without giving any of the meat in which the story deserves. Almost like he heard about a book, skimmed a few lines from it, and then added it to his conspiracies book. He also only likes to point out the government is at fault for all of it. He does mention mafia maybe at fault then leads back to the government without further detail into how the mafia or others could have been involved, or even the possibility of it being a mistake on many parts because a crime scene in that big of a crowd is bound to be corrupt just by the fact of sheer chaos. There is no doubt there have been shady things that happen but as to how and why there is only speculation. If you want proper information look into a book about the topic do not take anything from this book but a good laugh. Although me writing this now will probably be in Jesse Ventura\'s thoughts as me trying to cover up the facts and he may even wish he had asked me further questions of why I said this and think I am covering something up. Oh well. Also with the first chapter of saying that they should teach more into Abraham Lincolns death go how about you go over the curriculum and see what part of history you would like taken out to replace that. Do have in mind the fact that children have a small retention span and probably will not remember most of what is said after a couple of weeks have passed. Knowledge is power so use it.
