Audio Book Summary

Nina has her life just as she wants it: a job in a bookstore, a kick-butt trivia team, a world-class planner and a cat named Phil. When the father Nina never knew existed suddenly dies, leaving behind innumerable sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews, Nina is horrified. They all live close by! They're excited to meet her! She'll have to Speak. To. Strangers. And as if that wasn't enough, Tom, her trivia nemesis, has turned out to be cute, funny, and deeply interested in getting to know her. It's time for Nina to come out of her comfortable shell. It's going to take a brand-new family, a persistent suitor, and the combined effects of ice cream and trivia to make her turn her own fresh page.

The narrator did a good job I didn’t feel bored at all, however this book is a little bit too long, some dialogues seem to be irrelevant. In sum up if you like young adult novels or if you’re new in audiobooks like myself this book could be a good start.

I really enjoyed this book. I felt it took the narrator a little while to work out her delivery speed, but once that was sorted she was very good. The book is a lot of fun, perhaps only let down by the end which finishes quite suddenly. My preference is to not leave readers feel like they’re hanging unless you know there will be a Book 2! Overall a great story.
