Audio Book Summary

Sophie Scaife almost ran away once, trading her ticket to college for a ticket to Tokyo. But a delayed flight and a hot one-night stand with a stranger changed her mind, putting her firmly on track to a coveted position at a New York fashion magazine.

When the irresistible stranger from that one incredible night turns out to be her new boss-billionaire and publishing magnate Neil Elwood-Sophie can't resist the chance to rekindle the spark between them . . . and the opportunity to explore her submissive side with the most dominant man she's ever known.

Neil is the only man who has ever understood Sophie's need to submit in the bedroom, and the only man who has ever satisfied those desires. When their scorching, no-strings-attached sexual relationship becomes something more, Sophie must choose between her career and heart . . . or risk losing them both.

The age gap is a real problem for me, especially since the first contact was when he was 42 and she was 18. Just creepy. He also gaslights her when she protests his parternalistic meddling with her life.

It is a lot like 50 SHades of Grey. Although the story line is a lot better and makes sense. Hate the cliffhanger at the end. JERKS!!

Was there a real plot here? The story was all over the place, there were more sex scenes than a real story. Got really repetitive and tiring/boring after a while. Will not continue with the rest of the books.

This whole series was great. If this series was made into a move I would definitely watch it over and over. Much better than the 50 Shades series when I read it so I can only imagine what the movie version would be like. The age gap between the two main characters Sophie and Neil heightens the story because she gets to experience life through someone elses eyes that normally Sophie would never get the chance to do. Sophie is also more mature for her age so she and Neil are a perfect fit. She knows what she wants in life and isn't afraid to succeed or fail. She has the love and support of family, husbands and yes even kids she never planned on. Showed her what really matters in life and as you age your priorities change.
