Meg and Michael discover that child rearing does indeed take a village, even when the child in question is on temporary loan. Meg agrees to watch a friend's toddler for "a little while" but is appalled when Karen hasn't returned by Timmy's bedtime. Hilarity ensues as their quirky extended family answers the call to entertain Timmy - each in their own inimitable way. It feels like coming home TO a particularly charming circus. Meanwhile Meg looks for her friend but discovers a murder... A well-written story and dialogue, distinctive characters and an excellent case for raising children with lots of exercise, good food and love. Snakes are optional.
