I must say at first that I am not a vampire "fan", having pretty much avoided any of the modern versions of vampirism (and still shiver when I think of Bram Stoker's "Dracula"). But N.R. Walker has made me a "fan" of Alec and Cronin, and their friends with this book, another well written thoroughly enjoyable book. The characters are well "fleshed out" (pun intended) and the reader gets to know them and like them. The plot is off the wall interesting and well carried out. The narrator, Joel Leslie does a phenomenal job, giving each character a wonderful voice, making them as real as can be. I'm ready for the next.
