The only reason I gave this book 2 stars is that I was able to make it all the way through. It was bad. Alex Cross is a bad detective. Even I could figure out who was putting the finger on him, yet Alex never suspected he was even being fingered! Nothing was even remotely believable in this book, and I don't require much believability. Don't do it. I dislike the Women in San Francisco book I read - James Patterson should not write from what he thinks a woman's point of view might be. I did listen to a James Patterson book I liked, but I don't know that I will give him another chance. It's just not worth it.
