Be prepared. With each book I read/listen to in this series, I like it more and more. I know I struggled in the beginning, but this one is getting better with each release. Story: 4 stars Seth and Evan are on the trail of another witch disciple, only things are getting harder. The would-be victim has gone missing, people are interfering, and the witch disciple may actually know that they are there, which means an early kill. Will they get there in time? You'll have to find out on your own. This story pulled me in almost immediately. Now, don't get me wrong, I think Evan and Seth have a long way to go, but they are getting better. Now if only they would work on their communication, and there are times when they act more childish than I would like. That said, the story is well-written and I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Each book pulls me further into the plotline, making it harder to put away the book. Narration: 4.5 stars Kale Williams has done another great job of bringing these characters and the story to life. He makes each voice/character unique and it is easy to follow along. His narration only enhances the story instead of distracting. Overall: 4 stars All in all, this book was great and the narration added to the story, bringing it to life even more than the words on a page. The emotions and suspense run high, and there were a couple of times I was holding my breath to see what happened next. I highly recommend this book and give an overall rating of 4 stars.
