I listened to this audio as a re-read and it was absolutely delightful! John Solo did a wonderful job narrating a very interesting and engaging story. Oliver is not a typical Omega nor Brax a typical alpha. They have both been shouldering unexpected heavy responsibilities and chance brought them together. The story may be centered around this couple but expands into the world and people around them. This is one of the reason why it’s so satisfying to read Clair Cullen’s books because you feel really immersed in her world building and find yourself engaging in all these characters lives — not just the MCs. John Solo is one of the best narrators and he brought all the characters into life perfectly. My only pet peeve (as I tend to listen really quietly on my phone speaker — not earphone) is that his voice at times became too soft for me to hear him properly. There seems to me a lot more whispering than I’m used to. If you’d like to try Claire Cullen, this would be a perfect book to start (though she has many excellent books, this series definitely stands out). It’s exciting, romantic, with a bit of angst (though not at all off-putting), affirming, and a bit scary at times. Definitely recommended.
