Audio Book Summary

Chet, the wise and lovable canine narrator of Dog on It, and Bernie, a down-on-his-luck private investigator, are quick to take a new case involving a frantic mother searching for her teenage daughter. This well-behaved and gifted student may or may not have been kidnapped, but she has definitely gotten mixed up with some very unsavory characters. With Chet's highly trained nose leading the way, their hunt for clues takes them into the desert to biker bars and other exotic locales-until the bad guys try to turn the tables and the resourceful duo lands in the paws of peril. Spencer Quinn's irresistible mystery kicks off a delightful new series that will have readers panting for more.

Enjoyable but the ending doesn’t wrap things up very well. It

I am dog obsessed and love mystery books. This series was written for people like me. Fun, light and a fast read. Great book if you want to be entertained. Do no analyze this series. The only annoyance I had was that Bernie was in a horrible financial situation and he did nothing to help himself in this area... but always seemed to have enough money to get by. (Although as an adult we all know $500 does not get you that far when you're feeding yourself and your dog steaks and paying for biker tabs). I am intrigued enough to read the entire series, but this book has annoying points around Bernie's financial issues.

Enjoyed the book, but I think it was written for 14 year-olds.
