Audio Book Summary

The cast: an un-ordinary king, and an extraordinary princess, a couple of kooky giants, an overzealous magician, a loyal and helpful witch, and a host of evil and dangerous wizards.

The instruments: a broken-down magic carpet, a leaking magical sword, and a few buckets of soapy lemon water.

The problem: dragon-napping and magic-stealing.

And so the story begins, one fine day while King Mendanbar is taking a casual stroll through the Enchanted Forest. . . .

“A refreshing romp.”—Kirkus

Great story and fun book, but some of the voice acting (the magician in particular) is really over the top and obnoxious and really ruins the second half of the book. You don't need to make a "quirky" and "unique" voice for each character, especially not if that vouce is annoying to listen to. More neutral leaves more room for the imagination, and also -can't emphasize this enough- isn't grating to listen to

One of the characters has an annoying voice. There is a glitch near the beginning of the book that skips about half a chapter. Otherwise it is very enjoyable!
