Audio Book Summary

Personal vendettas, hidden treasure, and a monkey named Carl will send bounty hunter Stephanie Plum on her most explosive adventure yet.

The Crime: Armed robbery to the tune of nine million dollars

Dom Rizzi robbed a bank, stashed the money, and did the time. His family couldn't be more proud. He always was the smart one.

The Cousin: Joe Morelli

Joe Morelli, Dom Rizzi, and Dom's sister, Loretta, are cousins. Morelli is a cop, Rizzi robs banks, and Loretta is a single mother waiting tables at the firehouse. The all-American family.

The Complications: Murder, kidnapping, destruction of personal property, and acid reflux

Less than a week after Dom's release from prison, Joe Morelli has shadowy figures breaking into his house and dying in his basement. He's getting threatening messages, Loretta is kidnapped, and Dom is missing.

The Catastrophe: Moonman

Morelli hires Walter 'Mooner' Dunphy, stoner and 'inventor' turned crime fighter, to protect his house. Morelli can't afford a lot on a cop's salary, and Mooner will work for potatoes.

The Cupcake: Stephanie Plum

Stephanie and Morelli have a long-standing relationship that involves sex, affection, and driving each other nuts. She's a bond enforcement agent with more luck than talent, and she's involved in this bank-robbery-gone-bad disaster from day one.

The Crisis: A favor for Ranger

Security expert Carlos Manoso, street name Ranger, has a job for Stephanie that will involve night work. Morelli has his own ideas regarding Stephanie's evening activities.

The Conclusion: Only the fearless should listen to Fearless Fourteen by Janet Evanovich.

Thrills, chills, and incontinence may result.

I have just finished Fearless Fourteen by Janet Evanovich. I have been listening to this series and am truly enjoying them. Sometimes the language is a bit raunchy . Janet\'s writing is intriguing and at times laugh out loud funny and surprising. Lorelei King is an excellent narrator. The characters really come alive. I would definitely recommend this book and series.

The first time I have enjoyed one of Janet Evanovich's books. I found it a refreshing adventure with a combination of mystery and humor. I will definitely put her on my list of mystery writers to read.

My wife asked me to read this one, and to check out a few from this series. I did and I will because I did. It isn't PERFECT literature in some classic sense. It is however FUN. And I look forward to the rest. Funny stuff

I was extremely disappointed in this book. Not only were the characters stereotypical to the point of insulting, but there was no development in story plot and it was written like a "D" movie. This book may be entertaining for people who do not want to be challenged when reading a book.

If you like Stephanie Plum novels, you'll like this one, too. I'll admit I didn't fall over laughing as I have when I've read some of the others (Gramma is a little more subdued here), but I certainly chuckled. The narrator is very good. This certainly passed the time while I was driving.
