Audio Book Summary

Ross Ward is bound by the chains of his past he never could seem to shake, leaving him living in darkness, detached from the world around him, and an obsessive workaholic with really only one rule: mind your own business.

Until one night, there was Adalind Hollis-scared, confused, in need of help. And for the first time, he couldn't convince himself to walk away, to mind his own business.

Even after she was getting the care she needed, he couldn't seem to make himself stay away. But keeping her close meant he would eventually have to let her in, would have to offer over the horrors of his past, and hope she could accept it.

But even if she would embrace his past, could she accept his plan to exact brutal, bloody vengeance against the man who hurt her?

Contains mature themes.

Good story, the H’s story might take unexpected rent in my head for a while, as heart breaking as it is. But it’s a sweet bad guy (with a good heart) and good girl story. I’ll have to look to see if she written Adler’s story (He’s best friend), that would be a good one.

I listen to many, many books! And the most of them are drug out and slow to get to the best parts that we all look forward to. This one is by far my favorite! It took you straight to the point and even did an epilogue of their future that we all romanticize about!

I did like this book I just wished that the story was a bit longer and had a touch more danger coming from the antagonist. I also wish there wasn't a bunch of epilogues at the end. that is annoying... just finish the story stop adding 10 epilogues to the end of the book.

This book was a bit of a let down. I like the author, but she missed with this one. The characters were good, but the story line was blah. There was VERY little action, no excitement, no suspense or OMG moments. I did not like the make narrator at all.

Just a wonderful story. All sides of human nature. Heart warming characters. Loved it.
