I too am a huge fan of David Sedaris..his writings and his narrations. His sister Amy is a good actress/narrator but tries a little too hard to be funny on a topic that isn't that funny. This must be a very thin book, as her ramblings on hospitality and being a good hostess wear pretty thin after a while. It's okay, however, since it's only 3 CDs. Waiting for my David Sedaris tape...now THAT'S entertaining.

Um, ok, it was vaguely amusing. It was, um... Ok, the story didnt flow, the Idea of Hospitality under the influence, sounds like it was written by someone under the influence. Its disjointed and has no direction. That said, it was vaguely amusing to listen to some of the first couple cd "episodes".

If you like David Sedaris you will enjoy this. Different twist but of a similar mind. Amy does an excellent perfomance of reading the book and you can feel the passion in her voice when she strikes a point home. Necessary reading if you love rabbits! Most recipe's are basic but most simple parties are basic. I recommend it but not for all. Read "Me talk pretty one day" first.

A combination of party suggestions, helpful hints on almost everything, and recipes. Mostly intended to be humorous, but sometimes just silly and only partially successful. I haven't tried the recipes.
