Audio Book Summary

In 1940, as Nazi Germany spread its wings of war, France stood secure in the knowledge that they possessed the largest, most formidable, and best equipped army in Europe. France also had a stalwart ally in Britain and the support of Holland and Belgium. But they were all about to face a new kind of enemy who fought a new kind of war. In this audio book, expert military strategist Bevin Alexander examines the groundbreaking martial concepts developed by three brilliant generals- Erwin Rommel, Erich von Manstein, and Heinz Guderian. Their plan was to unleash the power of the tank, grouping them into juggernauts that would slam into-and through-enemy lines, as aircraft supported them and ground forces swept in behind them. It was the Blitzkrieg. And it alerted the world that the deadly might of Germany could no longer be ignored...

I love tanks. My fascination with tanks first started when I was a wee little boy but grew over time! However it's no longer just a fascinating thing that I like to study. It's about to be my life. Over time my childhood love of tanks grew into an obsession. It went from reading about tanks, to watching documentaries, to building models, playing world of tanks the video game, and now. I'm done with toys and games. I've enlisted in the military and I am in the process of becoming an actual tank crewman in the US Army! It's so cool to find a book like "Inside The Nazi Warminds". It's an awesome historical retelling of the strategic moves used by Nazi generals. It's pretty cool to hear from a historian what could have happened as well as why what did happen, happened the way it did.

The best part of this book is the brilliant strategic minds that fostered the concept of "blitzkreig" which steamrolled across Europe an amazing story. Absolutely breathtaking are the exploits of the panzer groups. Not only was Hitler a monster who personified evil but he was also grossly incompetent in military matters. We should all give thanks for that fact otherwise the war might have been differen in its outcome . Narration was great.
