Very well written letter to a “Christian Nation” giving them a wake up call and asking for common sense, backed up with facts and scripture passages, and making the humble plea to just look in the mirror in the nicest way possible. It also give any atheists or anti-theists out there just a few more questions to ask these ignorant people when debating them in open forum whether it be in an auditorium or at the dinner table. This is in no way just a bash religion book, it eloquently delivers valid, up to date talking points that when talking to “believers” they would feel compelled to look inward and truly wonder what they think. It may turn you if you have a rocky faith, I love it.

This concise rebuttal to what Sam Harris sees as the absurdities to the rebukes of his anti-theist writings is perhaps one of my favorite the various books/essays that arose in the aftermath of 9/11, 9/11 being the point that himself and others, like Christopher Hitchens, point to as their turning point to an all out assault.

Excellent book as a rebuttal to the irrational dogmatic religious beliefs . My parents are very religious, and I\'m not. Trying to have a rational logical conversation on their beliefs is like reading the scientific manuscript to a cow. What I think is that these people are lacking self belief, confidence, and identity. They prefer to delegate “conscious” responsibilities to an unexplained irrational dogma. Therefore they cannot be held responsible for their failures or atrocities caused by the faith - sad sad sad. I still respect my parents as they are good people and have never done bad things, but I can see how they can be led down that path.
