Audio Book Summary

Emotionally crippled Liz isn't looking for a relationship when she meets delish boy-next-door Cohen. He's several years younger, a volunteer firefighter . . . and a virgin, making him totally off-limits. But never one to back away from a challenge, she develops a close friendship with Cohen while she continues to satisfy her physical needs elsewhere.
Even as she spends her evenings in another man's arms, she somehow finds herself curled up in Cohen's bed each night. It's been a long time since she's had a true, honest-to-goodness make-out session, but Cohen's showing her just how much fun not having sex can be.
When Cohen is injured in the line of duty, Liz's real feelings for him rise to the surface, and she has to decide if she's willing to take a risk on love after enduring so much heartbreak in the past.

I liked this one better than “Unravel me” just something about the tease of him being a virgin was so exciting!

I’ve read and enjoyed other books by this author but this was disappointing. I was just hoping for the story to hurry up and develop …. And nothing happened. I dislike the narrator Leah Mallock - to me she sounded like Samantha from Sex in the City and it grated on my nerves. I found it to be stop/start romance that didn’t show any development and I didn’t care about the characters and what happened to them. Aside from the couple who are the focus of the story there is virtually nothing on any secondary characters. For me this missed the mark

Interesting story but the background could have been revealed earlier. Characters were believable but frustrating!

This was an amazing book. It had more depth to the storyline than expected but only made for an even better book. It gave more layers to the character that drew me into the storyline. I wish that at the end it would have given more into him wrapping her in his arms to where they shared their love and intimacy after she explained everything to him. However, the Epilogue of ending makes up somewhat for that. I love the Narrator but I would suggest that it be known more upfront that the Male lead's narration be known that it would not be in the story until the very end in the Epilogue and with that, it be the voice of a younger voice narrator. He's a younger man in the story. The voice used sounds of that of an older man and distracts from how he is described in the book. That would be the only issue I have with this audiobook story. Other than that it's excellent and very relatable for those who have went through grief and being caught in the guilt stage of it and how such trauma can shape you. I'm so glad she found love and could finally move forward. It gives me hope for my own struggle with grief and that I will forgive myself and find non-judgemental people to love me unconditionally and accept as is so I may find and know love myself
