This is the last of all the Robert Greene books for me and I'm glad I saved this one for last it seems like the appropriate order the other books can be read in any order in my opinion but I would save Mastery for last. It's really insightful and ties a lot of the points of the other books together

This book is great. It tells you about life's of people in the past that have accomplished amazing things and there discovered abilities of themselves and the world around them. Also goes in depth with your inner self and how to become a master in your own field. The only drawback seems that it repeats itself sometimes slightly but I believe this is a teaching method.

I didn’t think I was going to like this book but I actually fell in love with it. Maybe I’m biased because I love history and underdog stories but I actually wanted to keep listening to the book and was very moved, enlightened, and inspired. This is one I’m going to listen to again.

One if the most profound books on life, being human, interrelationships, finding one’s calling, becoming a master (of course- haha) and learning in an insightful, profound way about HOW incredible masters did what they did. I have spent a lifetime reading spiritual, relational, personal progression books (for more than 40 years)- this one has created a paradigm shift for me. I’m now begging and pleading for my 19 year old to listen or read it (I have both versions- bc!!) HE SAID YES- he’s downloading audible and starting to listen to it on his 3 hour drive home today. I pray there’s traffic- Thank you Robert Greene for helping me to give my son the greatest insights on life just as he’s going out into the world and doing his thing.

Like all of Robert Greene’s books on topics like power, war, and seduction, it is jammed packed with ideas, insights, and stories that will have you going back to it every year to pick up new things you missed the first time round. The writing and style is cleverly crafted by Greene to make it a modern classic, that can be read and reread. While his books are controversial for seeing the world as it is, this approach creates a treasure trove of information to navigate the world and the people in it, not how we think it’s supposed to be.
