Audio Book Summary

Tony Robbins turns to the topic that vexes us all: How to secure financial freedom for ourselves and for our families. “If there were a Pulitzer Prize for investment books, this one would win, hands down” (Forbes).

Tony Robbins is one of the most revered writers and thinkers of our time. People from all over the world—from the disadvantaged to the well-heeled, from twenty-somethings to retirees—credit him for giving them the inspiration and the tools for transforming their lives. From diet and fitness, to business and leadership, to relationships and self-respect, Tony Robbins’s books have changed people in profound and lasting ways. Now, for the first time, he has assembled an invaluable “distillation of just about every good personal finance idea of the last forty years” (The New York Times).

Based on extensive research and interviews with some of the most legendary investors at work today (John Bogle, Warren Buffett, Paul Tudor Jones, Ray Dalio, Carl Icahn, and many others), Tony Robbins has created a 7-step blueprint for securing financial freedom. With advice about taking control of your financial decisions, to setting up a savings and investing plan, to destroying myths about what it takes to save and invest, to setting up a “lifetime income plan,” the book brims with advice and practices for making the financial game not only winnable—but providing financial freedom for the rest of your life. “Put MONEY on your short list of new books to read…It’s that good” (Marketwatch.com).

The book is TOO long with way too much unnecessary information for those not living in the USA. It's tailored for US residents who pay taxes and have 401K as an option. It wasn't an efficient use of my time.

Fantastic. I’ll probably listen at least once more this year. Not just financially helpful. It was a philosophical, spiritual, psychological journey to freedom, —including with some self discipline “financial freedom.” And I mean that. Great narrator too!

I'm loving it, my Edward Jones guy called me during this book and I started asking questions and he answered my questions exactly how Tony said he would. Setting up appointment to meet face to face.

Too much extra "stuff" for me to enjoy the book. He seemed to add a lot of redundant and repetitive information. There are bits of useful information sprinkled throughout, but the book seemed to be more motivational than practical. I was looking for a straight-up guide on what I need to do. . .

I love Tony Robbins - even did a virtual UPW during covid19 - so I’m drawn to anything by him. There’s some American-only stuff in this that is irrelevant to Australia (and probs the rest of the world), but the overall message is good. It didn’t surprise me bc I’ve been reading a lot is material lately and this basic message was the same (think Barefoot Investor, Michael Kemp’s “The Ulysses Contract” - that vein). I did like Tony’s take on “wealth” and how it’s rooted in service to others, bc that gives your life meaning and shows you have something to give (on whatever format), rather than just need to “take”.
