MUNICH, SEPTEMBER 1938

Hitler is determined to start a war. Chamberlain is desperate to preserve the peace.

They will meet in a city which forever afterwards will be notorious for what is about to take place.

As Chamberlain's plane judders over the channel and the Fuhrer's train steams south, two young men travel with their leaders. Former friends from a more peaceful time, they are now on opposing sides.

As Britain's darkest hour approaches, the fate of millions could depend on them - and the secrets they're hiding.

Spying. Betrayal. Murder. Is any price too high for peace?

A fantastic fictional history based read. Timeline and events very close to reality. Rintouls narration is first class. Highly recommended.

Richard Harris paints a very detailed picture of an event many might already be familiar with. Harris takes us on a fictional journey of an actual event, which works wonderfully well. Helping one to better understand the sketchy details given in long gone school history lessons. Although my enjoyment came from this perspective, I have no reason not to believe that a younger listener, without any notion of the history surrounding the storyline, will find this book thoroughly enjoyable. Great author. Great narrator.

A fantastic book very well written, kept you on the edge wanting to keep listening, the narration is excellent. The way the book is written takes you on a journey, as if you are standing in the corner of every room watching events unfold.
