Foreword by Mahershala was amazing. I started off feeling like i wouldn't be able to relate because Denise talks about her celebrity clients, her proximity to her very famous Aunt and her elite Julliard education right at the very beginning. However, as you read you relate more to her humanity as she reveals her life struggles, industry experiences and a very personal secret she reveals in a later chapter. Another review mentioned her "name-dropping" but this her real life. This is her story and with each celebrity and non-celebrity she mentions she talks about a specific speech issue and how it was overcome. I love her narration and I found it extremely beneficial while listening to the vocal exercises. You can hear and repeat the lessons and opposed to reading the book and figuring them on your own. By the time i closed this book I was wishing I could meet Denise and just have 1 lesson. Great story. Great advice. Empowering and educational. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to improve their speaking personally or professionally.
