I felt Dr. Laura was a toned down version of herself. Most of the book was a collection of tips from readers. She encourages to stop putting our men down with negative talk and actions. That is a major point I got and it is true. Good tips and suggestions for a happier, healthier marriage.

This is a good book and I liked the perspective. I don\'t like that she uses so many of her listeners advice, I know she is using them to get her point across but there are just too many. Over all it help me understand my husband better!

Meh....I was expecting so much more. Not crazy about the condescension towards women in their marriages. I can see and accept her point but her delivery is off putting. Very surface level on one topic said in a million different ways. I got the gist in the intro. Disappointed.

This book gave me insight. It is food for thought. An example is to work on positive communication. Stop taking things personally, and put yourself in the other person’s shoes. If you feel criticized, you might be the one criticizing. Keep an open mind.
