Audio Book Summary

The psychopath carefully selects the most indifferent and heartbreaking way imaginable to abandon you. They destroy you as a way to reassure themselves that their new target is better. But most importantly, they destroy you because they hate you. They despise your empathy and love, and to destroy you is to temporarily silence the nagging reminder of the emptiness that consumes their soul. Unbeknownst to both of you, this is the beginning of a great adventure...

Psychopath Free operates under the assumption that you are not defined by your pain, but instead by the subsequent choices you make along the way. The goal is to make the process a bit more holistic, to provide all the tools you'll need to find validation, self-respect, peace, and love. Psychopath Free will help you out of the darkness so that you can begin making better choices that will forever alter the course of your life.

So say farewell to love triangles, cryptic letters, self-doubt, and manufactured anxiety. You are no longer a pawn in the mind games of a psychopath. You are free.

This book, hands down, is the book that saved me. The wealth of information and healing words within this book I cannot put a price tag on. I was broken in a million pieces, but now I am whole again.

First day of therapy and I was told to read this. I did a cross country trip and I didn’t stop until the end. I got mad, sad, and validated over and over. Bitter sweet to say the least. But yes, I wanted it to be my fault so I could stop the madness.

I enjoyed this book as it empirically defines psychopathy so anyone interested in the subject will instantly identify someone with the disorder. The book focuses on how these types of people act during a relationship, but I liked the end when the author explains how a psychopath uses their strategies on everyone they encounter, not just in their couple's relationships. I wish the author provided more help in how a victim can better cope with the aftermath of a relationship with a psychopath other than to avoid that person.

The clarity from the fun house mirror of confusion that an abusive but loving partner is, is the antidote to the abuse and this is the book that gives you that. Listen to it till you don’t want them back any more. It’s so so good and healing.
