For The Reader. DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK! This book is listed as number two in a series. It may have been the second book published (although it reads like a draft for the first) but it is not a sequel! The author has plagiarized himself from the book Rockfall. The sequence of events have changed somewhat. But they are the same events. The same conversations have been lifted verbatim. Characters that were killed off in the first are still magically alive.

It was predictable, but thoroughly enjoyed it! Lots of attention to details that people might not think about until it’s too late.

I like that this is not the typical post-apocalyptic novel, however by the second novel (this one), the series is becoming as predictable as all the others. We have the protagonist: a loner, scarred from a past event but well-prepared for the coming doomsday (and always with access to lots of cash for guns and supplies), regular skirmishes with bad guys (in this case the sheriff baddies with some rogues thrown in) where he and his side kicks manage to kill with incredible accuracy, and of course, the love interest, who is as broken as he is but coincidentally just as strong and capable (but still knows her place, as all the women do while still able to wield shotguns and tractors). So, if you can overlook all those things, not a bad book.
