Audio Book Summary

Hell . . . I'm in Hell. Literally.

I dishonored a contract to kill the Leader of the Vampires. For love. And now I'm paying the price. Locked up tight by the Demon King and his vicious minion. The way the demon looks at me is sickening and leaves no doubt what his plans are where I'm concerned. I have to escape before it's too late.

All I have to hold onto is the belief that Cassius will come for me, that he will follow me into the pits of Hell. If anyone can do it, he can. I cling to visions of his eyes. The feel of his arms as he holds me. His love. It's my only way to survive.

Where are you, Cassius? I need you . . .

Contains mature themes.

The narrator got off to a much better start in this book. After the cliffhanger at the end of book one I had high expectations for how the story would continue in book 2 and I wasn\'t disappointed. The story picks up from where book 1 finished and its an adrenaline rush from the off. Rose\'s life has quite literally gone to Hell. With the Demons Basillis and Razor both after her blood and determined to make her suffer their own particular forms of abuse, Rose is in a race against time if she\'s to survive and fulfil the prophesy. Can Brendan, Seth and Cassius find her in time ? With the help of a God maybe ! With an as yet unknown traitor in their midst, you can bet the drama, excitement and danger is far from over. This is a well thought out and well written story set in a dystopian world with an array of interesting and intriguing characters that makes for an exceptional read. I rarely re-read a book but this is one that I could again and again. This book doesn\'t end in a cliff hanger \'phew\' not sure I could cope with another ending like book 1 but it will leave you waiting eagerly for the next instalment.

The narrator is really in the groove with this one! All the different voices and accents are spot on and help create a clear picture of the characters. And there is plenty of animation and emotion in the voices and story to keep you entertained. Picking up the story from where the first book left off, Rose is imprisoned in Hell. Determined not to go easily, she will fight and plan her escape, but things aren't going to be easy for her. Despite her dire circumstances, she knows that Cassius, Seth, and her father will come for her, she just has to survive until then. Along the way she makes some new friends, including a fun and colorful demon. You'll get to see Rose in all her fighting glory when her rescue finally comes, but the story isn't over there. The Prophecy starts to be fulfilled giving all the supernaturals some surprising gifts, but no one could be more surprised than Rose. Things may have ended on a good note in this book, but everyone is gathering forces for the upcoming epic battle that will determine the fate of the world. I can't wait to see how it all ends!
