Audio Book Summary

This fourth entry in the New York Times best-selling mystery series finds canine narrator Chet and his human companion Bernie-'the coolest human/pooch duo this side of Wallace and Gromit' (Kirkus Reviews)-searching for a missing child at a wilderness camp. The mother thinks the boy was snatched by his father-her ex. But Chet's sniffing sends the case in a different direction. 'Great, cozy fun even if you're not nuts for dogs.'-Library Journal

The Dog Who Knew Too Much I love private detective stories. Many are serious dives into the realm of the mystery/thriller genre. Spencer Quinn goes in another direction. There is a case to be solved (the mystery) and the way Bertie and Chet go about solving it (the story). As mysteries go, this book is not a real heavy hitter. But, from the standpoint of entertainment, you can’t beat a story told from the point of view of the dog (Chet). There are plenty of plot twists and misdirection provided by the canine partner in this crime solving team. I’ve got to say that I stumbled upon this series by accident in “Dog On It” and it was so delightfully engaging that I just kept going back for more. “The Dog Who Knew Too Much” is the forth volume in the Chet and Bernie series and it’s a real hit with me.
