I downloaded this in error as I thought it may be a scientific study or discussion on what constitutes consciousness. It is actually a self help book on the power of conscious action and will.
However, not to be deterred, I listened to a couple of hours anyway. I found much of the authors manner distinctly hard to swallow. statements such as "If you have not achieved this, you have wasted your life" are, at the very least, provocative. I might counter that this only fits if your personal drivers are very well aligned with the author's. Personally, I'm not sure mine are.
Digesting the poem 'If' by Rudyard Kipling could be a faster way to obtain the life lessons offered in this text.
However, I cannot give this 1 star as a review, there is unquestionably some wisdom and some good intent in the authors attempts to convey how a man (not a women 'of course') should conduct himself.
The narrator too was a bit dry, not that I can particularly blame her. In her position I'd have been hard pushed not to add some suggestive 'huffs' at some of the advices given.
