This is great drama, solid storytelling and a nice collection of twists and turns that keep you riveted. Just when you think its done, it takes one last turn that you didn't even consider. Highly recommended for Patterson fans and all.

Having not read any of his books and wanting to try something new i was glued to this book! It took so many twists and turns. I found myself saying I couldn't take it anymore. Still not i fan of having music with audio books though. Just like to be read to; no other noise needed.

Someone told me this was MARKEDLY different for James Patterson . . . a "step out" they said . . . a move outside his genre . . . It isn't. But it is still good. And the narrator makes it better. And the ending alone is worth reading to the last disk. Not "real life" at all, and isn't that why we read?

I used to love James Patterson. The last book I thought was truly worthy of him was Honeymoon. Everything I've listened to after has been overly dramatic, formulaic and predictable. I now consider his books in the same category as romance paperbacks. I sent this one back after the 2nd CD.

When you think the story takes enough twist and turn it surprises once more. I say that this book will have you. what more can go wrong? then surprise: it happens. You are left with your mouth open, holding your breath, wishing you can jump in the book just to help. I will say you would have to at least try this book. you will not be disappointed.

Can't recommend this enough - it's a great novel to listen to while driving, walking or, as I do, working from home. I was tentative about branching out from the Alex Cross novels that I love, but this one was great. And Mary Stuart Masterson is a fabulous narrator. Loved it - the end is a GREAT payoff!

Of some interest but just too far fetched. Just when believability starts to set in, the plot takes a far reaching jump and then another one after that. In depth plotting yields to thin and contrived scenarios.
