An interesting and well written book rendered lacklustre by poor narration. Someone should have told Janet that the Roman numerals beside a kings name are pronounced in the ordinal number, not in the cardinal - Henry II is Henry the second and not Henry two! Sir Walter Raleigh is pronounced ra-lley (and not Ra-li) and so on. Her cacoepies, misaccentuations and downright blunders make the narration tedious and lame. WG Bell will be turning over in his grave!
