FEATURED ON 60 MINUTES and FRESH AIR

“So surprising and moving and true that I became completely unstrung.” – The New York Times

Named a best book of the year by: The New York Times, NPR, TIME, Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe, Entertainment Weekly, Southern Living, Publishers Weekly, BookPage, A.V. Club, Bustle, BuzzFeed, Vulture, and many more!

JOHN GREEN, the acclaimed author of Looking for Alaska and The Fault in Our Stars, returns with a story of shattering, unflinching clarity in this brilliant novel of love, resilience, and the power of lifelong friendship.

Aza Holmes never intended to pursue the disappearance of fugitive billionaire Russell Pickett, but there’s a hundred-thousand-dollar reward at stake and her Best and Most Fearless Friend, Daisy, is eager to investigate. So together, they navigate the short distance and broad divides that separate them from Pickett’s son Davis.

Aza is trying. She is trying to be a good daughter, a good friend, a good student, and maybe even a good detective, while also living within the ever-tightening spiral of her own thoughts.

Adter watching the 60 Minute special on John Green, I immediately downloaded this book. As a high school counselor, it has been instrumental in connecting with some emotionally charged students. Very impressed. Really get to put opaque to what is clear, but not clearly understiod. Thanks for being transparent John Green. Bless you.

Wonderful book, I felt so captivated and involved with the story and characters. Narrator voice was pleasant and made it very easy to understand the personalities of each character.

It took a minute to let the narration settle in and once it did I realized this was going to be a wonderful ride. It tackles Loss of those cloae to you, mental illness and the vulnerabilitys we all share. All while riding along with Chewbacca A Tuatara Lizard and a mystery you'd find in a Hardy Boys Novel. The two main characters are funny soo funny.... did i mention they're funny? Highly recommended. RFL.

This book is excellent. It really helps you to understand mental illness in a real way while telling a very good story of relationships, loss of family members, and struggles of a teenager seeking purpose and answers.

The narrator, Kate Rudd, does a phenomenal job giving the different characters truly unique voices. Even the side characters that only have one line sound distinct! I listened to it all in one day. The writing and the reading are both fantastic.

Maybe I just expect a lot from John Green, but overall, I was disappointed. The storyline was slow moving, and boring. I kept waiting for something to happen. It felt like non-stop description of anxiety/mental illness. Maybe that was his goal, but we didn't enjoy it.
