Audio Book Summary

Wigfield is a small bucolic hideaway, situated in front of a massive dam which is about to be torn down by the state government to restore the salmon run. Wigfield's only hope lies in the self-righteous, self-involved 'journalist' Russell Hokes, who arrives hoping to capture the quiet dignity of the disappearing American Small Town. However, Wigfield is nether quiet nor dignified. As the date of destruction draws nearer, Hokes casts about desperate to find something about Wigfield worth documenting. WIGFIELD is a razor-sharp satire by three major talents.

Literally one of the most absurd, hilarious things you will ever listen to. I have listened to this book at least 50 times.

This was a great respite. I laughed out loud several times. Wonderfully irreverent and no where near politically correct. Colbert and company did a great job with the characters voices

So many one liners it was hilarious. Somewhat hard to follow who was who but still funny

Huge tongue-in-cheek, goofy book w lots of Colbert footprint in the material. The absurdity was fun, but tended to wear one out at times. I do recommend it for a long car trip.
