Audio Book Summary

For one man, they are the five most terrifying words of all…your heart belongs to meOne year after the heart transplant that saved his life, thirty-five-year-old Ryan Perry has never felt better. He’s getting back everything he nearly lost forever—his business, his life, and, with luck, his beloved girlfriend. Miracles do happen. Then the unmarked gifts begin to arrive—a box of candy hearts, a heart-shaped pendant. Most disturbing of all is a graphic heart-surgery video and its chilling message: Your heart belongs to me. Ryan is being stalked by someone who feels entitled to everything he has. She’s the spitting image of the twenty-six-year-old donor of the heart beating steadily in Ryan’s chest. And she’s come to take it back.

I was disappointed by the book. It was going well for the first 2/3 of the book, then became uncomfortable. I found the coarse of the plot at the end to be a bit contrived and disjointed. It was disappointing, especially considering the author's past works. Had I not been as invested in it at that point, I would have dropped the book and, at the end, I wish that I had.

While the book maintains interest, it seems like he wrote part 2 first, realized it wasn't long enough and then wrote part 1. The book would have been better without part 1. It seemed disjointed.

Ok so this book has a long wait apparently because Koontz is a fantastic author and its a pretty new release. Well.....after 2/3 months of waiting I just went and rented it from the public library. It is sooooooo slow I have almost given up ( which I never have with a Koontz ) It takes at least 5 discs to get somewhat suspenseful. This is the worst listen thus far as far as Koontz gets. I would skip it. Again this is my opinion and who knows you may enjoy it. I guess I like more suspense not hours of leading and over descriptive babble. Thanks!
