Narrator's sing-song voice was distracting and annoying. Book is worth listening to, however.

Alexander the Great is a fascinating subject. This book does not do him justice, in my mind, because no dates are provided to clarify the period of his short reign. The narrator is adequate but not outstanding. This said, it is worthy read. I came away knowing more than when I started.

Book was an interesting read and I liked being able to listen and access various historical maps to follow Alexander’s travels and engagements. Unfortunately, the narration was very distracting and there were more than just a few times when I was ready to stop listening and find another biography on him. Driver’s voice was clear, but she obviously likes to ignore the rules of punctuation. I would avoid her whenever there’s an alternative.
