I listened to 15 minutes of this and realized it wouldn't work for in-the-car listening. If you are a visual person who wants to see how the words are spelled. this isn't for you.

i've rented these cds several times- i've traveled in italy many times and do have an elemetary knowledge of italian-- all this being said-- i still struggle with the following the uses of the direct and indirect object pronouns--not enough time to practice-- and all of the verb tenses that are given-- i think its a bit much--however- the lessons are an overall good way to practice conversations and expressions--and practice is the key word here-- and i guess i'l just have to back to italy and practice some more!!!!

This is a great compliment to my twice a week Italian class. But keep the pause button handy. The CD doesn't give you much time to practice between readings. I highly recommend this if you're new to Italian.

I liked these CDs and used them regularly during my commute. If you've taken basic Italian, they're a good way to keep the vocabulary fresh and practice your accent with the native speakers on the CD. I think someone who's never had a class may be confused in trying to use these without seeing any of the words written before them. But for anyone brushing up their Italian for a trip it would be useful because of the chapter scenarios: meeting people, going to the airport, eating out, shopping, etc.
