Audio Book Summary

The stunning new novel from the international #1 bestselling author-a searing, spellbinding blend of cold-case thriller and psychological suspense.

Two girls are forced into the woods at gunpoint. One runs for her life. One is left behind ...

Twenty-eight years ago, Charlotte and Samantha Quinn's happy small-town family life was torn apart by a terrifying attack on their family home. It left their mother dead. It left their father-Pikeville's notorious defense attorney-devastated. And it left the family fractured beyond repair, consumed by secrets from that terrible night.

Twenty-eight years later, Charlie has followed in her father's footsteps to become a lawyer herself-the ideal good daughter. But when violence comes to Pikeville again-and a shocking tragedy leaves the whole town traumatized-Charlie is plunged into a nightmare. Not only is she the first witness on the scene, but it's a case that unleashes the terrible memories she's spent so long trying to suppress. Because the shocking truth about the crime that destroyed her family nearly thirty years ago won't stay buried forever ...

Packed with twists and turns, brimming with emotion and heart, The Good Daughter is fiction at its most thrilling.

For me this was a true five star. It keeps a wonderful pace with plenty of twists and turns. The writers ability to tell tale of strength and survival was brilliantly done. You will not want to set it down.

I usually like Karen Slaughter novels, however, this one ... eh? It started off with one crime scene and then evolved into another unrelated crime. I did not care for the characters and their relationships with each other. It was a book with too many side stories that didn’t come together very well in the end.

This was my first Karin Slaughter novel... Great job! I was interested and engaged the whole way through! I am already listening to my next book by Ms. Slaughter. The narrator is one of the best I've heard so far!

The f word used way too much. Did not like the characters, and no mystery. A mean book.

The narrator was phenomenal, the book pretty meh I really struggled to finish this, even while painting and doing everything to get my house on the market followed by a fifteen hour move. Pretty predictable, the only likable character playing a minuscule enough role that he only popping up enough to remind you that he was a good guy.
